about

Brutal omission. The act of suicide itself. "I wanted to make an ominous scary song that contained actual thoughts I had when I was younger," says guitarist and founder Steve Salazar. "I wasn't a happy person growing up and had a very hard time accepting myself in society. I really felt like I wasn't meant for this world, you know? The lyrics are a tad exaggerated, but JUST a tad. I'm a big fan of totally fucked up music, so I thought I'd create something disturbing to accent the words, kinda like a demon telling you that you're a worthless piece of shit and should get a grave already. Cause you know Satan wants you to be unhappy."
This track contains a hidden song called "From The Womb To My Doom" which was written during the recording process of M2...mtays. "We finished this new fucking brutalizing song which we felt was the heaviest thing in town at the time. And as not to disappoint fans of that said brutalizing sound, we thought it best to include it as a hidden track, so as not to fuck with the concept of the record. No local bands were doing shit like that before. It was actually sung by a friend of ours named Richard Cooremans, who was in Anomik. He helped us play the first Scumby shows by filling in as the lead vocal. He'd never been in a pro studio and it was our way of saying thanks for helping us experience our first times playing live."
